Changes have been made to the reconstruction of the project of the Sochi hotel «Primorskaya». It is planned to reduce the area from 85,000 square meters to 40,000 square meters. Implements the United Industrial Corporation project.
Dmitry Morochenko, who is the head of the department, said that the project plans to increase the hotel area from 12,000 square meters to 37,000 square meters. In addition, it will have space for 350 rooms and 10 apartments with a total area of 2,000 square meters. There is also car parking for 80 cars. But the number of rooms in the new hotel will be reduced by 20 times, but now there are more places in the hotel — instead of 220 there are 350.
Dmitry Morochenko explained that the project is being corrected depending on the needs of the city and the upcoming Olympics, while the improvements reveal the shortcomings of the project, quickly eliminating them. This also applies to the appearance of buildings.
According to Dmitry Morochenko, at the moment, technical conditions for communications have been received for the project, pre-project and project documentation have been preliminarily agreed. According to the plan, the hotel should be put into operation in the summer of 2013.
For the first time, the project for the reconstruction of the hotel was announced by the United Industrial Corporation in 2005. The project involves the creation of hotel buildings instead of a four-story old building, while maintaining the historical facade of the building.
